The Evolution of a Thought Leader…

For me, it all started during a breakout session at an ICF Conference lead by Cheryl Richardson and Laura Berman-Fortgang…almost 12 years ago! One Way To Learn Is Through Trial and Error…
(Though It’s SLOW And More Costly!)

I wish I could say I was an overnight success. It wasn’t quite like that.

You see, until just two years ago, I was doing everything by trial and error. Sure, I did many things right. (Gratefully!) I also modeled others. BUT – not everything “others” do, or choices I made, was 100% effective. I mostly figured out what works – and what does not -- the hard (and expensive) way!

I’m happy to share three of the smartest decisions I made. The first happened unconsciously. The other two took me years to fully "get."

1. Building A Solid Foundation. In my early years of coaching, I was simultaneously laying a solid foundation without knowing what I was doing. 2. Learning to Leverage. It took me awhile to let go of control and learn how to leverage my time through technology, systems and hiring virtual assistants. You don’t need to do it all yourself – and you shouldn’t be. The real magic set in when I mastered launching and leading group coaching programs! It’s a great way to make 3-6 times your hourly rate, have more coaching clients and make six figures while working only three days a week. (I’ve since helped hundreds learn how to launch and lead group coaching programs!)
   
   
3. Hiring Marketing Mentors. I realized (maybe you have too) – to impact more lives – it’s imperative to communicate and connect with prospective customers more deeply. That’s what effective marketing is about. That means…mastering marketing is a must!

For years, I didn’t want to invest in this process. I thought I was smart enough to figure things out on my own.

Gratefully, here’s what happened when I finally did.

• I’ve launched single programs netting as much as $146K. I’ve also enjoyed earning 20K, 30K and $40K in a single month.
  
  
• My visibility in the marketplace sky-rocketed! During my first book tour, securing interviews was tough (even with a first class publicist!) Now, it’s challenging to keep up with all the requests!
