Emotional Intelligence: Why it Can Matter More Than IQ,
Daniel Goleman, 1995.
If you are interested in deepening your understanding of emotions, this is a great resource. One of the few books I haven't yet read cover to cover, however the content is important and and I've received numerous glowing recommendations. Emotional intelligence includes self-awareness and impulse control, persistence, zeal and self-motivation, empathy and social deftness. These are also the hallmarks of character and self-discipline, of altruism and compassion - basic capacities needed if our society is to thrive. |
How to Master Change in Your Life: 67 Ways to Handle Life's Toughest Moments,

If you are experiencing any kind of major life change, this book can offer real-life help. This book touches the core of one's inner self, no matter what your religion or philosophy. Fabulous insights on attaining authentic power - rich in spirit and grace.
